Description

EEMS is the UK Environmental and Emissions Monitoring System for the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC). The system captures greenhouse gas data direct from oil companies into one central repository.

Greater integration across the industry

Developed by Fivium and managed by Collabro, EEMS allows the UK Government and Oil and Gas industry to monitor CO2 emissions to help meet environmental targets.

The system provides measured and calculated emissions data which allows reporting and greater transparency from one centralised system.

Meeting Kyoto emission targets

EEMS is a key contribution to the UK Oil and Gas industry's commitment to a cleaner and safer North Sea environment. Through greatly improved quality, usability and tracking of environmental reporting, EEMS helps the industry manage and monitor greenhouse gas obligations under the Kyoto Protocol on climate change.

EEMS is used by all major oil companies operating in the UK, including ExxonMobil, Shell and BP. Over 40 oil companies now use EEMS with over 3,200 returns submitted each year.

• View outstanding returns.
• Control oil company amendments to submitted returns.
• Extract information with ease - either raw or summarised data.
