Facilitation

Facilitation: leading people through processes towards agreed objectives in a manner that encourages participation, ownership and creativity by all those involved.

A good facilitator will unobtrusively look after all aspects of a meetings 'process' leaving those at the meeting entirely free to focus their energy on the 'content'.

Collabro's facilitation service has, over the past six years, helped many groups (both within individual and across multiple organisations) to become more productive.

Our professional facilitators use tried and tested facilitation techniques to generate consensus and identify actions from meetings or gatherings of 5 to 500 people. For smaller groups we tend to use the PinPoint!(Neuland) facilitation process, larger groups (60+) Open Space becomes the preferred approach although each assignment, to some extent, dictates the method.

Planning is critical to the success of facilitated sessions. When engaging the services of Collabro work will begin with a meeting to set objectives / expectations. This is followed by the preparation of a detailed agenda that describes the various elements of the planed meeting, what is happening when and why. Once the agenda is agreed Collabro will make all preparations and fully facilitate on the day. The final part of the work involves the preparation and issue of a report summarising the output generated.

  • Need greater direction and purpose

  • Become dominated by the opinionated
  • Leave the less confident on the sidelines
  • Have too many hidden agendas
  • Frequently don't deliver anticipated output
  • Sometimes break into smaller uncontrolled discussions

Professional facilitation can address all of these issues and more. If you need to get further information or clarification concerning the Collabro facilitation service then pleaseĀ call Alistair on (01224) 853422 for an informal chat.
