Legare is a solution that focuses on the issues facing Primavera users around data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) in the enterprise environment.

It serves as a fast and simple link between Primavera and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sun Accounts and Maximo, facilitating the exchange of data within the Planning, Maintenance and Finance environments.

Legare is modular, and in its basic form, provides a desktop-based productivity tool for Planning Engineers wishing to extract selective planning data from Primavera into MS Excel, and re-import back into Primavera. The base product also allows planning information to be shared across departments and other organisations that may not have access to Primavera.

As an organisation’s requirements mature, Legare’s modular approach protects the user’s investment, with the addition of further features such as the scheduler, providing the automation of regular data exchange tasks. Additional connectors offer integration with further data sources, all of which lead to an enterprise-wide Primavera integration solution and Planning Engineer’s productivity tool.

Flexible Configurations

Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

Legare’s core functionality maintains the work breakdown structure (WBS) on import and export.


WBS codes may optionally be preceded with user-defined text on import to help distinguish the source of the data and avoid top level conflicts.

  • WBS forces the team to create detailed steps to define the steps required to build and deliver the product or service.  The exercise encourages a dialogue that will help clarify ambiguities, bring out assumptions, narrow the scope of the project, and raise critical issues early on.
  • WBS lays the groundwork for schedule and budget and good budget plans.  A well-defined WBS enables resources to be allocated to specific tasks, helps in generating a meaningful schedule, and makes calculating a reliable budget easier.

Connectors

Legare's Connectors offer the ability to seamlessly create connections with multiple data sources, such as Oracle, MS SQL Server and third party products, such as SAP, Maximo, Sun Accounts, Sage etc.

Forecaster

The Legare Forecaster accesses Work Orders and Planned Maintenance Routines from the host EAM/CMM system, or any other data source including MS Excel, and creates forward tasks based on the logic defined in the seeded routines

  • Create Maintenance Routines without committing work orders into the source system, e.g. what-if scenarios, look-ahead plan (6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months)
  • Helps build Planned Maintenance Work Orders for green-field sites

Relationships
